Big Bowling Birthday Hit!!Nov 05, 2000
My son got this bowling game for his 3rd birthday and it was the hit of the party. Even us adults couldn't stop playing with it. The bowling pins shake and talk to you and when you get all of the pins down they cheer for you. It really is a great toy and will bring loads of entertainment for years. Highly recommended!!

Great game for kidsJul 22, 2001
We bought this for my 2yo daughter about 3 months ago and she loves it! It is very durable and so stable you can set it up on carpet. With most bowling games the pins fall over before the ball hits them-but not with this one. My daughter also loves to hear them speak to her. We have no problem hearing them. She also loves the fact that they shake. If you have a toddler this is a must have toy!

I like toys and I research heavily.Nov 20, 2000
By Sharron Stephens I bought this bowling set simply because it was made by Hasbro. Hasbro produces nothing but quality detailed products in my opinion. Like all Hasbro toys, the sound is very clear and the components are durable and smooth and pretty. I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old daughter, but my nearly five year old son loves it, too. (Of course, he loves everything.) I wanted her to gain some more physical coordination and it worked from the moment we opened the box. She can't aim quite straight yet, but she doesn't give up because she loves hearing the sound of the bowling pins as they chatter and tease and giggle. What's good is that the pins talk to you even when you do not hit them. The best part is when they all shake-up and ask you why you haven't hit them yet. Educationally, each pin has an expression on its face and speaks phrases that identify with their personality. Kids learn that its o.k to be grumpy, silly, or afraid. This is much like the Winnie the Pooh series where every character has a personality. And, I'm sure that like many of you, even into adulthood you've identified with one of the characters. My daughter keeps the instruction guide to this game (3 1/2) so that she can point to the pins in the illustration and try to match their names and personalities (Silly Sophie). She has learned them after two days of play. To be honest we only played with this game for two days and then I put in the trunk of the car for some reason. They've not asked for it, but my daughter notices the commercial each time that it comes on tv and talks about it. I think the fun with this game is longterm, because my daughter plays with it in her room while she is alone. They play together too and learn to share and take turns. Eventually they'll be counting and playing for competition. I had purchased the Little Tikes version some years ago for friends with two pre-school age boys, and she called to thank me because the game only promoted them to hit each other over the head with the pins and fight. With this set the thought has never entered they're mind. Great learning value, cooperation, counting, color matching, coordination, vocabulary. They make come back to it over and over again. I can see use until about 6 years old. For one or more player, so great for an only child to have excitement in their autonimous play. Enough said!

I think this toy is fun for kids and will help them count too. Most of all it is good indoor toy and they won't get bored.Plus it is so easy for them to keep the pins standing in one place.I think this is good for them to start learning sports.

Best Kids' Bowling ToyDec 31, 2000
By Mom of 4 As a mother of four, I found this toy great for my 2 1/2, 4- and 5-year-olds. It's extremely durable. The kids can set this one up by themselves. My 4-year-old hates playing by himself, but sets this one up for himself to play everyday. We've tried other bowling sets but the pins fall down before they let go of the ball. It can be set up on carpet. It helps my toddler with her colors. It can be played with alone or with others. All the kids laugh hysterically at the pins' talking and teasing. It's a winner!
