Description:

Sally, Stevie, Stanley, Sophie, Stewie, and Sid are six colorful, lightweight bowling pins--each with their own personality--that talk to kids while they bowl. Taunts such as "C'mon! Roll the ball already!" get kids started, and phrases such as "Whew! That was close," keep them aiming for the pins. Bells, whistles, and cheers are heard if a spare or strike is bowled. The tan plastic base has six colored circles to hold the pins in place, but it is not required that colors match up for a game to begin. Silly 6 Pins only keeps score one frame (two balls) at a time, so keep a pad of paper nearby if you're playing as a family. Three AA batteries are required, but not included. --Pam Lauer

5Big hit!Jan 07, 2010
My kids, ages 5 and 3, LOVE this toy! They play it over and over again. Great for cold or rainy indoor days.

I would suggest playing it on a carpeted area and not on hardwood floors, because it's loud when the ball hits the pins.

2A BIT LOUD!!!Nov 09, 2005
I bought this for my 3 year old last year. He has not played with it much and I doubt if he can even locate a couple of the pins! He played with it for about 2 weeks and soon grew tired of setting them up over and over again, while I grew tired of the noise they made when he would "strike". I guess the final straw came when he hit his couisn with one of the exremely hard pins. Well, so much for Silly Pins....

4Great for a rainy day......Jul 11, 2005
At this very moment, as Hurricane Dennis blows tropical storm winds and rain outside, my sons and husband are having a blast with this game.
After one round each of Candyland and Chutes and Ladders, hubby pulled out this long forgotten toy. Voila! Something the 5 year old and 2 year old can both play (as well as the 36 year old, apparently).
Is it loud? Yes! Is it disorganized? Of course! As the mother of two little boys, I can tell you - that's what they love about it!
Save it for your next rainy day. You won't regret it.

3Only if your playroom is nowhere near where you sleep...Jun 02, 2005
As others have stated, it's a great, durable little game. I won't argue with that. However, it would have been better if if weren't made of such hard noisy plastic! When the ball crashes the pins, it really crashes! Many times we have been awakened in the morning to the repeated sound of crashing pins rivaling that of a real bowling alley eminating from the floor below. It gets really irritating after about five minutes! So be forewarned, if you like to sleep in, be sure this game is locked up!

5Fun for the whole family!Mar 26, 2005
My little boy got to open this on Christmas Eve, his grandparents got it for him. My little boy was so shocked and excited when he saw the game! He had wanted this game for several months but I was'nt sure he'd like it as much as he wanted it but it was one of those games that I was wrong about- He loves it! I have to admit it is really a fun game. The bowling pens shake and talk to you as you play and they say funny, cute phrases. My little boy who is almost 4 can set the game up him self and play it without anyone else or if he wants we can play with him. I like games that he can understand and be able to play without having a second player all the time. It makes this game even more a good purchase because being an only child there is'nt many games that are like this. He loves this game and still plays it a lot even 3 1/2 months later. I would reccommend it!
