A Great Addition to our Little People Sets!Oct 27, 2011

I ordered this despite the former 3 star review which stated that it came with two girls. It actually comes with both a girl AND boy figure (Scarecrow Eddie is obviously a boy). Like most Little People toys this one seems to be very well made and durable and I purchased it to go with my son's Farm and Stable sets to which it makes a nice addition. It is actually an exclusive set that Fisher Price releases during the Fall season and I believe that it is now sold out on FisherPrice.com (check there first though because these types of sets are usually cheaper when purchased directly). The set includes a tractor, a wagon, 2 Little People figures and hay, apples and pumpkins. When the wagon is pulled by the tractor the big pumpkin in the wagon spins around and a black cat pops up and down. It's very cute! After having gone pumpkin picking at our local pumpkin patch my son is enthralled by pumpkins and just learned to say the word pumpkin (he's 22 mos old) so the pumpkin feature of this set is one of the main reasons I got it to add to his collection. I should note, however, that the pumpkin cluster that comes with the set is a narrow shape and might not be suitable for younger children or ones that are prone to putting everything and anything in their mouths. Other than that, this set is really cute (my son seems to like it more than his other Little People tractors/wagons) and I plan on adding other Fisher Price seasonal/holiday exclusive sets to our collection in the near future.

DURABLE SET, LOTS OF FUN FOR ALL SEASONSSep 18, 2009

This fits in well with all of the other Fisher Price sets, the pieces are interchangeable (we set it up with the Mayflower, Thanksgiving set and Haunted House during the fall season, although it gets played with all the time). We have had this set for two years and it is very durable, it holds up to regular play, travel, even the sandbox, plus lots of washing. The only concern were the haystack, apples and row of pumpkins. They are a little on the smaller side, and tend to get misplaced. We didn't give those pieces to our kids until they were ready for the smaller accessories. The cat even pops up out of the pumpkin, as the wagon rolls - very cute! While we like the girl figures, we have a lot of boys here so I do wish Fisher Price would include more boy figures with their sets, but we also expanded and added a Fisher Price tube, which included Farmer Jed. This is a great set for all ages!
