Not so hotMar 16, 2008
By MomofTwo Bought this for daughter who does love it. But there are design issues I'd have thought would have been worked out by now. I was growing up in the 80's and Fisher Price had much nicer play houses then that were larger and had more rooms to them. This one is much differently designed, smaller, less rooms. It has sound effects to it which could be nice: phone rings, doorbell, toilet flushes. But the toilet only flushes if you RAISE the lid ????? and should flush when you lower the lid. The front door NEVER stays on. You don't even have to mess with it much like open it, you touch it and it just falls off the hinges because they didn't make them well. Overall daughter loves it (nothing to compare to) but as a parent I'm disappointed.

It's a home run!Nov 17, 2007

I purchased this for my two year old nephew. He was playing with it non-stop since opening the box. In fact, when his father got home from work the following day at midnight, my nephew had woken up and immediately starting playing with it. His father played with him for about an hour, thinking he would go down, but he wouldn't stop! Finally, he tried to put him to bed and he want crazy! He LOVES this toy! The next morning, he called "dada? dada?", and as dad opened the door, my nephew took his hand and led him.... to the house! He played with it all morning.

This is a very fun product my daughter loves it even the little toilet makes a flushing sound when you lift the lid it also has a little doorbell that really rings and a window that you can move back and forth to make night and day sounds and the dog and cat when you turn them around in circles the make sounds and play music you have to keep an eye on the little bitty pieces as they can get lost easily but overall this is a really fun and cute and very durable toy

Well, they finally learned...dollhouses aren't JUST for girls.Sep 26, 2007
By Lauren B Years ago, there were quite a few dollhouses on the market that were neutral colors or more blue-based to suit a boy or a girl. Well, those days were gone until recently. We, mothers of boys and girls alike, were nauseated time and time again by the overly pink and purple McMansions that decorated our child's rooms.
But, good news everyone...just as I began to complain about the obvious message from toymakers that boys should not play with dollhouses...I stop by a Toys R Us and see a too-cute collection by Step 2. And guess what? They were ALL in neutral, classic colors.
Though I find the Step 2 collection slightly cuter and more creative, my son has so many Little People toys that it would be a shame to get rid of them and start over. Besides, he doesn't know the difference, right?
While this house doesn't have anything particularly special about it, he loves it and plays with it often. It doesn't have as many sounds as his old VERY pink and purple LP house, but it's good to leave something for their imagination. I like the new dog and cat feature. I'm a bit disappointed that they removed the laundry room and computer room, but that's less work for Mommy and less fun for Daddy (with that cell phone, he's having too much anyway, right), so it works out. And I do hope that eventually they take the baby out of the bassinet...
I appreciate the fact that I can have this in my son's room and not feel as if we should put it away should anyone come over.

Little People rule!Jan 11, 2008
By Ivy Mac I don't know why, but anything with Little People absolutely captivates my not-yet-2-year-old. She loves the toys and the books - and this toy is the latest addition to her collection. She will sit by herself for 30+ minutes just moving things around and talking to her Little friends. That's 30+ minutes for me to get a few things done around the house! For some reason, she always puts the dad (who's holding a cell phone) in the bathroom... Maybe she's trying to tell me something? ;^)
