Fun diaryJan 31, 2010 My 7 yr. old loves this toy. She loves diaries, and now her sister can't get into it, and gets a "growl" if she tries! It sometimes takes a few tries to understand the spoken password, but my daughter doesn't mind. She's had it a year now, and still plays with it all the time.
It broke immediatelySep 18, 2009 This toy is a great idea but the item we we received did not function correctly. It fell apart, and the voice recognition never worked.

Complete garbage!!!Dec 22, 2008 When it worked, it was marginally fun. The "diary" pad only includes 20 sheets of paper, which lasted about two days. Then after finally teaching my daughter to speak her password reliably, it began opening to literally any noise at all--even breathing will open it. Now my kids take turns belching into it. We've reset it endlessly, changed the batteries, etc., but forget it. Complete garbage.
don't waste your doughNov 29, 2008 each of my girls got one of these last year. neither worked after 2 days.
Lousy toyJul 06, 2008 It sounded good and my twin 6 year old daughters wanted it for their birthday. So we bought them each one. I has not worked consistenly and the voice recognition was terrible. It really was a waste of money.
