We have two children age 2 and 4 and they both adore Duplo. We have lots of them purchased both new and used and I've had my eye on this set for a long time. This has some of the most special, most fun pieces on the market. A small kid will enjoy the set up but an older child 4,5 will love to integrate them into their own play. Of special note are the green vines which can hold curtains etc (why did I never think of that?). Now they are built into our houses. The cannon is awesome of course, slide for the park or zoo, building columns are great fun for house, an awesome swing plus the coolest piece of all is the rotating circle for "knife throwing" but we use this for everything. Very easy to build alternate cool rotating structures.

This set has animals, people, plus a good mix of standard and special blocks when you want to create something. Our daughter liked the people and animals as a 12-month-old, and is now building stuff. (We've added a box of basic duplo blocks to the mix...) You can't go wrong with a lion, a knife-throwing act and a clown canon.

Ever since I purchased this item 2 months ago my Daughter has played with it every day , the only draw back is price and the fact you need to buy more sets to keep imagination up.
