 Great for legos on a rug!Apr 27, 2010
I got this for my son who loves his legos but can't make a sturdy scene on the rug in his room. He is very happy with this solution!

My children have used legos and now my grandchildren are enjoying this very creative toy. Even adults can enjoy a building experience with their child.
No other toy comes close to Legos that holds the interest of the child for years to come. It is worth the expense.

Apart from the relatively expensive price tag (which I guess you can pretty much get away with when there are no real alternatives) this board is more flexible and bendy than I would expect.
When using it on carpet or a thick rug the board has so much give when fixing lego pieces to one area, that the surrounding areas flex so much that other pieces can come off and require refixing.
Its not a great big deal since you can use it on a hard surface with no problems, and its not exactly a safety hazard, but its just annoying especially for smaller kids who want to play on the carpet/rug on the floor.
I am also concerned that ultimately the board may crack due to the flexing, but until that happens I guess I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.
Consider glueing it to a matching sized MDF or wood board for rigidity if it will only be used on rug/carpet.
Lego platformAug 26, 2009
My grandsons love having these platforms to build their Lego towns on. They have tons of Lego pieces and this gives them a place to really let their imaginations go. Now they have 6 of these platforms! Often, they connect them together for a LARGE city.

The Lego baseplates are a great addition so that any lego collector can build whatever they want.
