Set your course for the Hoth systemAug 23, 2010 My Lego-loving son has recently discovered the original Star Wars trilogy, so he used his allowance to purchase this Snowtrooper Battle Pack. This set is essentially a collection of four minifigures - an AT-AT Driver, two Snowtroopers, and an Imperial Officer - with a few accessories.
Complexity: This was a pretty easy set to build. My son assembled the minifigures, and I put together the little battle platform and the speeder bike. Now, I've seen the Empire Strikes Back a LOT of times, and have never seen a speeder bike in that film. Why is it suddenly showing up in Hoth-themed playsets (both Lego and Kenner so far)?
Playability: The sky's the limit. Recreate scenes from the movie, or make up your own stories. My son does this, but so far his stories all involve the AT-AT Driver and Snowtroopers trading helmets...and then shooting each other.
My son absolutely loves these figures, and usually has at least one with him at all times. He's saving his money again, so maybe the LEGO Star Wars Rebel Trooper Battle Pack (8083) or LEGO Star Wars Echo Base (7749) playsets will be next.
CoolAug 23, 2010 The set it self looks cool and fun. The AT-AT driver has a new helmet it looks like its from the movie. The speeder was never in the movie, but it's fun to play with. The station is well detailed with a raidar dish & controls, for attacks there is a rocket launcher. For $11 buy this MUST-HAVE set.

Great addition to existing setsMay 16, 2010 My 4 year old built the whole setup in about 20 minutes. It quickly got taken apart and incorporated into the rest of his collection. This was his first Star Wars piece, and he enjoys mixing up the helmets and body parts with his other figures. The price is reasonable for a set with four characters.
