1The End Of SoulCaliburDec 08, 2009
I am a real big fan of all the Soulcalibur games until Soulcalibur ledgens was introduced. first of all let me make one thing clear this is the worst Soulcalibur game ever, if you are planning on buying this game please don't pleassssssssssssse don't. Don't be a victim like me who fell into that trap, because of the game name title soulcalibur I went and buy the game; that was the worst choise I ever made in my entire life. I think that soulcalibur should stay the way it once was as an head to head fighting game. I hope that this review some how reach Namco/Bandi message board, so these game develpers can see what crazy mistakes they have made. All other soulcalibur are great but i can't say the same for Soulcalibur ledgens.Oh yeah let me talk about the wii nunchuck & remote, it's a good innovation but not for a game like soulcalibur, what were the developers thinking; the Nintendo wii has a classic controler which would have work well with the versus mode. This game need to be taken off the shelves for further modifications. Namco/Bandi please keep fighting games where they belong and Adventure games where they belong, I think that this was a bad step for you. I know all the fans of soulcalibur would agree with me, and for all who were having thoughts about buying this

4very happy,will do againSep 14, 2009
Was very happy with game. Took a little time to get here, other than that,It's all good!

4Soulclibur Legends is Fun but LimitedSep 14, 2009
This game is quite fun but it will wear your arms out. Each level is completed when you defeat all your enemies and complete your objectives and you use both the wii remote and nunchuck to do that. There are a dozen or so locations and you keep revisiting those locations as you progress through the game. There are new enemies and objectives each time. The story mode is only single player, although you have two characters you can switch between on most of the levels. There is a multiplayer mode where two players can do Co-Op or Duel play. There are only a few select levels for these types of play. My 7 year old son and 6 year old neice had a lot of fun playing in these modes and it was good because there was not really any gore or things you don't want the kids to see. Also, the somewhat simplistic and repetative nature of the controls, makes this a good game for kids. If you enjoy this type of game then I truely recommend it because it is a great game. The graphics are wonderful and there is a decent storyline. Even if you have not played this type of game before, I would recommend it. I had never really played or was interested in this type of game, but it turned out to be one of my favorites. I wish that the story mode was two player and that there was more to do than just swinging your swords all the time, but overall I believe this a great game!

4A refreshing change of genres, and play mechanics.Feb 04, 2009
It's so nice to spend time with these characters outside of the small ring. It always seemed like such a waste, that such cool characters, were doomed to spend eternity in enclosed spaces, beating up on each other.

The controls are responsive, and immersive. After a prolonged session, you really do feel as if you've cleaved your way through hordes of 'Evils'. Even so, a classic, or Gamecube control sceme would have been a nice option to have. Still, it does become second nature after a time.

The graphics are clean, and detailed. At times, even jaw-dropping. I'm always amused to hear the typical jaded gamer's 'opinion' of Wii games graphics. I'm starting to think either one of us is blind, or the subject is becoming one of perspective.

This is a hack and slash, in the vein of the old walk and punch style of games, with a beloved cast of characters, rpg elements, and revolutionary controls. What's not to like? At the end of the day, it's fun. Plain and simple.

I'm so glad I ignored ( yet again ) the jaded, Wii hating reviews. I think you will be too, if you decide to pick this one up.

5As AWESOME as the Fighting SeriesJan 27, 2009
Soul Calibur Legends is as a wonderful adventure game based on the ever-popular fighting series. At first I was wondering if it was going to be any good, but after getting into it, I was completely blown away!! The graphics are outrageously beautiful, the sound is mesmerizing, and the game play is stupendous. It's really great to be able to use the Wii remote as a sword and the Wii Nunchuck as the control pad for this game. That makes it all the more interesting and challenging, and it adds to the interactivity of this game. I've only had a Wii since Christmas 'O8, and so far, this is one of the best games I've played for the Wii. Soul Calibur Legends is awesome!!!
