Smooth operatorJan 07, 2009
By Amanda Richards Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R13FPZW968DX0W The attraction of this little car is its ability to adhere itself to a smooth wall or ceiling, and dart around like a lizard catching flies. The remote requires 6 AA batteries (not included) and the car battery charges from the remote.
It's easy enough to set up, and pushing a tiny lever on the car starts up the little vacuum thingy at the bottom which allows the car to stay put on walls and ceilings. From there you move it around with the remote.
The problems arise when the walls aren't smooth, as even a little roughness causes a loss in steering ability. If you have high ceilings you won't be able to use this feature, mainly because you can't reach to put the car up there. You also need to keep an eye out for when the headlights start flashing, because this means you're just about out of charge - not very good news when you're driving upside down on a ceiling.
The video shows the car in operation on a not so smooth plywood wall, and a slightly smoother ceiling. In case you're my boss, any similarities between the driving surfaces shown in the video and the walls of my office are purely coincidental.
This is an ingenious little gizmo, and although limited by the availability of clear, smooth walls and ceilings, it's still a bundle of fun, especially for boys of all ages.

Air Hogs Zero Gravity, Zero Turn ControlFeb 04, 2009
By Tamara Ulicny I have seen this product work well and be a lot of fun for kids and adults, but the particular unit I recieved, turns in one direction only. It is no fun to go in continuous circles, or to have no control, so the fun factor drops dramatically. My son tried it twice, got frustrated and put away to gather dust. If I had bought it at a store, I would have returned it.A purchase like this online is more difficult or impossible to return.
Almost what they sayJan 11, 2009

It's almost like they say. It will stay on the wall, but if you move too much it falls off. The ceiling....no, it doesn't do that. It works great on the floor, but it doesn't last long on the wall. Maybe a couple of seconds and that's it. But my son still likes it.
Little ToyJan 08, 2009
By D. Calder Great little toy that runs up the wall, over the ceiling and on the floor. Need to be able to use a remote control to use this car and also supply A++ batteries.
Best Christmas present!Jan 07, 2009

My boy wanted this toy for christmas. I was a little afraid because any of the air hog toys that I have bought have been destroyed within a week. This toy is pretty durrable and the kids have a blast driving it on a ceiling. The only thing is that the surface has to be very clean and smooth or it wont work. But kids are having tons of fun with it.
